In-Depth Game Analysis
Seekers Notes: Hidden Objects is a hidden object puzzle adventure game developed by Mytona. I have been playing this one for a long time, and it is still one of my go-to games on my phone. It is a pure mobile game, so you will not find it on Steam, Xbox, or Switch. You can download it from the Google Play Store or the App Store. It first launched back in 2015, and since then it has been installed millions of times, way over 50 million actually. The best part is that it is free to download and install. You can play the whole story without paying a cent. There are in-app purchases, of course, mostly for energy refills, coins, and rubies. You can spend anywhere from a couple of bucks to like 100 dollars if you really want to. But honestly, you do not need to spend money to enjoy it. There are also ads, but they are mostly optional. You watch them to get free stuff, which is a fair trade in my book.
So how do you play this game? You are a Seeker, and you have to explore different locations to find hidden objects. Each scene is packed with items, and you just tap on them. It sounds simple, but it gets tricky because some objects are hidden behind others or blend into the background. The best part is the story and the atmosphere. The town of Darkwood is full of mysteries, and every new location feels alive. My favorite part is the events. There is always something going on, like a new challenge or a special quest. You never run out of things to do. You can also collect cards, upgrade your mansion, and play mini-games. It feels like a full adventure, not just a boring search game.
Compared to other hidden object games like June's Journey or Hidden City, Seekers Notes feels more generous. June's Journey is great, but the energy system there is brutal. In Seekers Notes, you get more free energy and the events are more rewarding. I also like that the art style is darker and more mysterious. It is not all sunshine and flowers. If you like games with a bit of an edge, this one is for you. I recommend it because it respects your time. You can play for five minutes or five hours. It does not force you to pay. And the community is pretty cool too. I have been playing for years, and I still find new stuff. If you are looking for a hidden object game on android, give this one a shot. Just download it from google play and see for yourself.
Core Gameplay Features
- Massive amount of content 🎮: There are hundreds of locations and thousands of objects to find. You will never run out of scenes to explore.
- Regular events and updates 📅: Compared to Hidden City, Seekers Notes pushes out new events almost every week. There is always a reason to log in.
- Generous free-to-play model 💰: Unlike June's Journey, you can actually progress without spending money. Energy refills are frequent and ads give good rewards.
- Dark and immersive story 🌑: The town of Darkwood has a creepy, mysterious vibe that keeps you hooked. It is not just mindless tapping.
Strengths & Highlights
- No forced paywalls 🚫: You can play the entire story without paying. June's Journey often blocks you with energy, but here you get plenty of free refills.
- Frequent events 🎉: There is always a new challenge or quest. I never get bored because something is always happening.
- Great art and atmosphere 🎨: The scenes are detailed and moody. It feels like a real detective game, not a cheap cash grab.
- Active developer support 🛠️: Mytona actually listens to players. They fix bugs fast and add new content regularly.
Limitations to Consider
- Energy system can still slow you down ⏳: Even though it is generous, you still run out of energy eventually. It is not as bad as Hidden City, but it happens.
- In-app purchases are pricey 💸: Some bundles cost real money, and the rubies are expensive. You can ignore them, but the temptation is there.
- Repetitive gameplay loop 🔁: After a while, finding objects feels the same. June's Journey has more variety in mini-games.
- Ads are optional but everywhere 📺: You can skip them, but they pop up often for free rewards. It gets a bit annoying.
